Hello all! I am back to blogging and thrilled to be in this new year! 2015 is already coming at me hard and I have to say- I LOVE IT! Busy Lofi= Happy Lofti. If you follow me on Instagram you know I missed the Golden Globes last night because I was attending the Miss California USA pageant. Ahhhh such a fun time. You just can’t describe the energy in the room at a state pageant! I did my research on all the gowns though and I am ready to throw my 2 cents into the mix. Ready? Let’s Go!

Here’s thing..this is what Jennifer always does. I’m not going to say she doesn’t look great, it’s just that I’ve seen her wear this dress in 1997, 1999, 2003, 2009, 2011, 2012 and now.

Nooooooo. I was hoping she would be the Lupita of the Award Season. This dress needs to be pulled up about 3 inches on each strap. Her breasts look like they belong to a 70 year old. I understand what you were going for, but trust me, a tailor is always your best friend.

Butttttt I don’t care for the color choices. And the fabric makes it feel really heavy. It comes across like a dress from ‘Game of Thrones’ vs a fresh current gown.

I was texted about this dress throughout the pageant and I was dying to see what the fuss was all about.

No ma’am.
I know you are pregnant. I know this is a custom-made Chanel gown but this is hideously frumpy and it has butterflies on it!!!! I have never seen an evening gown with butterflies that swept me off my feet. I can’t even talk about the clutch. This will go down in the history as the worst dress you have ever worn Keira.

Stunning. I feel we have just seen this dress last season but I don’t care. It forms her body beautifully, lovely color and most importantly whoever steamed it did a glorious job. No wrinkles!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH I AM SO MAD THIS ISN’T IN MY CLOSET!!!!!!!!! I am obsessed with pants on the red carpet and this is just drop dead gorgeous. Add the fabric belt and I can’t breath. Definitely Best Dressed List. My #1 of the night.

Hmmm this is a very hard shape to pull off. Personally I never want added fabric to my hips. I think this dress would have worked if it was hemmed at the calf making it more tea length. Also I think her hair down would have been a softer look.

I’m not flipping over this dress as everyone is. I think the neckline seems too far apart for me. I would like the neckstrap to be tightened and each side brought in an inch on each side.
Does she look hawt- yes.
Is it my favorite- no.

This is the best I’ve seen her since Grey’s Anatomy days.

Now this is how you wear a belt on the red carpet. I don’t think you need a fresh flower, mega earrings, bangles, rings and a clutch….but the belt is on point.

Probably the best I’ve seen her at an awards show. The dress color is a dream with her hair and skin. LOVE.

Ohhh Jessica came to pay ball! Glamour done right. Even more so than her dress- her eye makeup is mesmerizing.

I actually like this dress. I would have loved a mega necklace instead of earrings and pulled her down with light curls. I think with the right accessories it could have been a serious showstopper.

This dress makes you look 20 lbs heavier. Outdated. Not current or a throwback in a cool way.

MELISSA MCCARTHY
Hmmmmm I applaud the risk but I didn’t think it completely worked. The dress fits her beautifully but I would suggest getting rid of the bow and throwing on a mega necklace full of diamonds.

JENNIFER LOPEZ
And lastly Jennifer Lopez. This is a hard one for me. One side says “Well she knows her look and sticks to it.” The other side says “We have seen you in a dress this 5,000x.” Again she look beautiful, I love a cape sleeve, but in the end your breasts look like they are suffocating and want to come out.

Whew! There you go. 27 Dresses! Talk to me. What did you love, hate, agree with, disagree with?!?! And if I had more hours in the day I would add Sienna Mille and Diane Kruger to Best Dressed. Agreed with almost everything 100%. Rosamund Pike, Lord have mercy. Forget asking if the girl has a stylist, does she even own a mirror??? That one is horrible. Tina Fey, that dress could have been amazing if the skirt was fitted and pencil. Heidi Klum, gorgeous with the exception that her right breast was smashed. Kate Hudson, I just was not a fan of the dress at all, but maybe bringing it in a bit at the neckline like you suggested might have changed my mind. Kate Mara’s belt and hairstyle really didn’t allow you to look at anything else. The dress wasn’t awful but you couldn’t turn away from the aforementioned things. Claire Danes is where we totally disagree. She looked like someone threw up an entire flower garden. Hideous. Too bad for me, looks like yellow will be a great color for spring. I look yellow myself when I wear it!

okay so your blog just brought my attention to Kerry Washington’s shoes. i’m gonna need you to comment on the shoes. ugh i wish you had watched there are so many things i want your opinion on: Julianna Margulies’ hemline, Tina Fey’s lady tux was one of my fav looks of the night. heidi klum always wears red. i was bored. Amal Clooney! Christine Baranski looked better than women half her age. Taylor Schilling’s neckline, i don’t know how i felt about Felicity Jones’s choice. Kristen Wiig’s table cloth, Lupita! oh, and Amy Adams! i really liked the color and the cut.
i obvi agree with most of your thoughts but i always remember you talking about claire danes needing a taylor and while i enjoyed the dress i was instantly reminded of you saying that about her and it made me wish the dress fit her better. ugh so many things. oh and i think my favorite dress of the night was on “miss golden globes” Greer Grammer (frazier’s daughter.)

Lupita- It looks like a DIY dress. Not a fan. Esty could sell this sucker.
Amy Adams- I really the this look but it’s just a little boring for me. WHY DIDN’T ANYONE WERE SOME JEWELS?!?!!? It’s the Golden Globes- you can wear diamonds people. DIAMONDS!!!!!
Kristen Wiig- That was a great idea with bad fabric. Love me some shoulder action but the fabric looks very Prom 1979.
Amal’s Gloves- I was shockeddddddddddddd. Not opera length white gloves! It seemed like a costume. A wrist length glove could have been glamorous with the right dress (most likely a tea length dress). I bet she will step it up for the next Award Show.
