Loftiss says “Make It Work”Monday: Killer Workout Clothes from Hurley

While living in Cali these past few months I have found out a few things. Its’ FREEZING at night even in the summer, flip-flops and puppies are allowed everywhere and people here find a million ways to call something organic. Something else? Hurley makes workout gear. WHAT?!?! I met Dominique at Meraki Barre in Costa Mesa. She is a little bite size love bug who I swear should be Southern. She always rocked the coolest workout gear and we one day started chatting clothes. I decided I had to share with my readers that this well-known Surfing Company makes workout clothes.

1. Hey you! Tell me a little about yourself and Hurley!
Hey there 🙂 I started with Hurley as an intern in 2011 and immediately fell in love with the brand, the people and the culture. I went back to finish school that Fall at USC, but once I graduated I came back to Hurley for a full time position in Digital Marketing/PR… I’ve been a Hurley Girl ever since! Haha. It’s definitely been a blast and I feel really lucky to work for such an amazing brand.

2. I have to say being a dancer my whole life and living in dance and workout clothes it is soooo important to look adorable in and out of the gym. Is this something Hurley wants to stress?
Totally. The best part of our Beach Active line is versatility. I’m actually wearing the Pivot Dri-FIT Sports Bra under my tee right now. The colors are fun and the silhouettes are super flattering, so each of these pieces can be mixed into your everyday. I realize my work environment is more casual than most places, but I love the ability to wear Beach Active to work so I can make it to my lunchtime barre class without having to change.
3. What is your favorite item? What is your go-to uniform?
I’m pretty obsessed with the sports bras. They’re uber-comfortable and go under anything. I actually wear them under sheer blouses when I go out! And coming from someone who wears a 32D, I can assure you it stands the ultimate test in the gym 😉 Nearly all our beach active is equipped with Nike Dri-FIT, which wicks sweat away from your body and keeps you dry. It’s always nice to not be sweaty haha.

As far as uniform, I love the Pivot Crop pant, Pivot Sports Bra and either the Chamberlain Fleece hoodie or the Nfinitee – it’s not technically part of our Beach Active collection, but it’s a loose, slouchy, light tee that you can wear four different ways: front, back, inside and out.

4. If there is one thing you want to stress to the readers what is it?

Versatility, Nike Dri-FIT, Beyond the beach (and gym), and great price point! Follow us at @hurley_girls
