Loftiss says “Fashion, Beauty & Charity oh my!”

We all know the 3 of my favorite passions are: Fashion, Beauty and Charity. On December 8th, I was honored to attend the inaugural Women’s Health Fashion Show and Luncheon hosted by Mount Sinai. Not only was I surrounded by 500 high-profile taste makers from the fashion, medical, real estate, society and philanthropy worlds but also was treated to an exclusive runway presentation of Naeem Khan’s Spring 2012 Collection. Ohhh I was in HEAVEN!

We heard from the top medical experts, specifically on advances in OB/ GYN and cardiology with all proceeds supporting Women’s Health Initiatives at Mount Sinai. This focuses on the promotion of health, safety and quality of life across the entire spectrum of a women’s life. I have known of Mount Sinai’s magic for years since my first roommate in NYC, Jud, was a nurse there. Let me take you backstage!!!!!

I spoke with Yann Varin, who has a gorgeous salon located on Madison Ave in the Upper East side, who created all the looks for the models. He used all L’Oreal products (see I told you L’Oreal is THE best!)

His stunning work. A simple bun made into a work of art. It’s all about making two sections of hair to pull back.

Yann explaining to me the wonders of L’Oreal’s Mythic Oil. It felt so light and lovely, not sticky at all. This is a new find that I’ll definitely buy when looking to slick my hair for a chic and effortless look.

BEAUTY

I chatted with Luc Bouchard of MAC Cosmetics. I instantly remembered him from New York Fashion Week. This is us deep in conversation.

His secret was Mineralized Skinfinish in Lightscape . It’s luxurious velvet-soft powder adds highlights to cheeks and brows and an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face. I remembered this was discontinued and Luc surprised me saying it will be back on the market in Spring. YES!!!! Write this product down ladies- it’s a must have!!!! The glow is INCREDIBLE!

What a doll!

Stunning. V neck and long sleeves is one of my favorite looks. Timeless

This is the type of dress you change out of your wedding dress and party in  for the rest of the reception.

I want to wear this every day for the rest of my life. This is THE Emily Loftiss dress. I’m in love.
