I really think nothing makes me happier than the Met Gala. I ADORE the ridiculous costumes (yes I mean costumes) that are worn every year. I will never understand if you are invited why you don’t go full out! You are attending the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I would plan my look for months. To me, this night is all about haute couture holding hands with art and fashion. Anything goes! Here’s a look at my favorites….
***
SJP
Insane. I die.
The second I heard the theme was China- Through the Looking Glass I knew I would have worn a hugeeeee headpiece. When I saw Sarah Jessica Parker on the stairs I squealed. Yesssssssssssssssssssssssss. To me SJP was my best dressed. Exquiste fashion (ps it’s an H & M dress) paired with handmade headpiece fits perfectly with the theme. This is art. Just art.

Anne Hathaway
A golden dress with a hood?!!? YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Simple, sleek yet breathtaking and a statement. Bravo.
***
Rihanna
Is this my favorite look? No.
Is this a GET OUTTA MY WAY I KNOW FASHION? Yes. Yes it is.
But you have to agree this yellow is ideal on her skin. I personally enjoy her hair/makeup most from this look (the nod to the strong asian eyebrow). She truly looks like a china doll up close.

Karen Nelson
Exactly what I envisioned with the theme. Editorial Glamour.
***
Zendaya
Ahhhhhh yes little girl. Zendaya is shaping up to be a true fashion muse.
***
Beyonce’
Breathtaking. She looks expensive and in banging shape. Bow Down.
And some folks might disagree but I I still have SJP as my Best Dressed because she was truly committed to the theme.
***
Lady Gaga
I admire this headpiece and like Rihanna the brows. The kimono was Japanese but it didn’t bother me…
***
Bee Shaffer
I adore this bird on the back of her skirt. The details are remarkable.
***
Fan Bing Bing
Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Obsessed. This jade embroidered cape is beyond….
***
Lauren Santo Domingo
This yellow silk print is delicious.
Rosie Huntington- Whitely
Now this is how a dress should be formed to a body. Hot damn this is an art form! IMPECCABLE.
***
Bella Hadid
The beauty on this beauty is on point.
***
Solange
I don’t know what’s happening but I dig it. It seems very celestial. More Universe rather China.
***
Honorable Mentions
Kim Kardashian
I think this dress is awe-inspiring. It is truly magnificent. I would just like it more on someone else.
Sienna Miller
Superior look but it seems more spanish, no?
***
Emily Blunt
I don’t think these are the best colors on Emily but it’s beautifully made and I live for a cape.
***
Emma Roberts
I love this greeeeeeen. I only wish she had done a gorgeous undo with a headpiece. She could have stolen the night.
***
Emily Ratajkowski
She made this cocktail dress look even more lovely. I love the length and neck detail.
***
Helen Mirren
Gorgeous.
This lady knows her body. You better wear cutouts and a red bra hotness!
***
Anna Wintour
Everyone take note, Anna is wearing orange and red! This is a major!!!!!
Last thoughts: Kristen Wiig, Sophia Vegarra and Reese Witherspoon- please use the theme! This is not a normal red carpet. Damn it Pull up!
I love that Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Hailey Baldwin all wore TopShop. Affordable. YES!
And Dakota Johnson that dress looks like you are going to a disco. And Jlo- you look tired. Get some rest boo.
And my inspiration would have been along these lines….
What did you think of my picks? Did you agree or disagree. Please let me know!
Get ready for a special post next week. I have been waiting a year to share with all of you!!!!!!! Til nxt week!
