Loftiss says “100 Days to Sochi” Olympic Event in Times Square!”

Anyone who follows me on Insta, Facebook and Twitter knows I had the extreme honor of emceeing the “100 Days to Sochi” Event last week in New York City. It was so thrilling to come back home and work with the incredible United States Olympic Committee again. Just like the Olympics this event was epic! We had demos by Olympic hopefuls, autograph signings, giveaways, on- stage interviews, and an incredible show ending the festivities with a performance by  Gavin DeGraw. In one word the day was….awesome. Check out my day representing USA for “100 Days to Sochi.”

The Countdown Board. At this point at 10 am we were 100 Days, 14 hours, 25 mins and 30 seconds away from the Opening Ceremonies.

I WISH you could see how hugeeeeeee this ski slope was. It was over 30 feet up in the air and took up a huge portion of Broadway between 45 and 46th.  The future Olympians threw tricks all day on this slope. It really was a site to be seen!

I finally had a moment to run up to the top of the ski slope. Here I am rocking my GO USA mittens. You can buy your own at your local Kohls and Target and online here for just $14. All the proceeds go to supporting Team USA. When you rock these mittens use #raiseyourhands on social media to show your support!

I was walking by and happened to recognize Nastia Liukin in the crowd. She was so gracious she ran on stage with me and answered questions. The crowd loved her!

Nastia  will be a correspondent during the games in Sochi this year. In this picture you can kind-of tell how high we were. I’m standing on a 8 ft tall platform while the skiers were up 20 more feet! The energy in the air was so powerful. Everyone was out to support Team USA!

Nastia liukin. 2008 Olympic individual all-around Champion, the 2005 and 2007 World Champion on the balance beam, and the 2005 World Champion on the uneven bars. She is now a student at NYU.

Playing on the interactive skiis.

Showing our USA pride with the lovely Grete Eliassen . She was an absolute joy to interview throughout the day.

Chas Guldemond was my one snowboarder. What a doll.

About to try my hand at the luge!

Have on my game face. Whoooooo what a thrill. I also found out I’m a natural. Who would have thought that about this Georgia Peach?!?!?!

This explains these guys. They work hard and play hard. I LOVE these guys. Torin Yater Wallace, Gus Kenworthy and  Alex Schlopy I can’t WAIT to cheer you on!!!!

Make sure you tune into NBC to watch the games and support Team USA. As always I was Proud to be an American.

xoxo, Loftiss
