Last week I had the immense pleasure of attending South Coast Plaza and The Hollywood Reporter’s “Live the Look.” You all know that I have been missing my New York City high paced life full of fashion, style and beauty events so this couldn’t have come at a better time. My heart literally skipped a beat when I heard the music begin at the runway show Thursday night. This weekend of events included a FABULOUS fashion show curated by E!’s Fashion Police co-host celebrity stylist George Kotsiopoulos and The Hollywood Reporter’s Merle Ginsberg. The fashion show had exclusive retailers featuring Lanvin, DIOR, Chloe’, Fendi, Oscar de la Renta, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, MaxMara, Brioni, Canali and MAC. I was in awe of many of the looks and highly impressed with the styling. There’s a reason Mr. Kotsiopoulos is on Fashion Police- he’s a genius.

He loved my turban and complimented me saying “We NEED people like you in the world.”
Sitting front row at the fashion show.
Some of my favorite looks.
Camel head to toe always looks chic.
Winter white is such a showstopper.
I gasped when this model walked out. A jacket that can be worn as a cape and jacket. I die.
This shot is alllll about the shoes. Just animal hair with red detail. Practical -no. Magical- yes.
This oversized neon yellow jacket is everything.
It deserved two pictures.
Sitting next to Kristen Schott of Riveria Magazine. She is a newly wed and just as sweet as she is beautiful.

The next day I attended a morning brunch hosted by Gregory Arlt. I had a blast listening to Gregory present MAC’s fall make-up collection that exhibited “Antonio’s Girl’s.” This collection was inspired by supermodels of the ’70s showcasing the legendary fashion illustration of Antonio Lopez.
The models representing the three distinct looks.
I asked the models to close their eyes so you can see the incredible detail in the application. Gorgeous.
Greg working his magic.
With my new bestie, Director of Makeup Artisty Gregory Arlt. ps he is absolutely hilarious and deserves his own reality show. Mark my words
I had the extreme pleasure of chatting with Supermodel Pat Cleveland. She was such a delight to talk to and a true artist in every way. She couldn’t get over that I was a former professional dancer and Rockette. She said she was a dancer in her core (Pat was known for dancing down the runway in the ’70s). Pat is finishing her memoir and let me say it is going to be a must read. Example- a song started playing on the loud-speaker at the jewel court and she went into a story how she convinced Grace Jones to become a singer. (ummm what!!!!)
LIsten to me when I say this. You want to check out this new collection. I have worn the Antonio Lopez: 6 Eyes/Bronze, Face/Coral and 3 Lips/Nude palette everyday since I’ve been introduced to them. They are worth the trip to the MAC store! Just wait til you see these colors in person….honestly special.
Other fabulous events this weekend were an evening at AnQi by Crustacean, showcasing beauty and hair rends by MSC ad Sassoon Salon. Plus, Sunday afternoon a panel discussion hosted by Culture Editor, Degen Pener and Lifestyle Editor, Alexandria Abramian from the Hollywood Reporter, and Kathryn Ireland of Million Dollar Decorators. Thank you South Coast Plaza, The Hollywood Reporter and MAC cosmetics for making me feel at home. The OC is lucky to have you all. You made my fashionista heart smile. Til next time…
xoxo, Loftiss
