As promised here is my latest and last post about New York Fashion Week! This blog might be my favorite because this is where I tell you how you can find those magical trends from the runway and make them apart of your daily life. And definitely at a more affordable price. From clothes, hair, makeup to nails I’m your “Make It Work” Maven! Let’s get started!
Classic Camel Coat
This is THE most sophisticated look. I bought a camel colored cape last year and still wear it every chance I get. It looks effortless, chic and always timeless.
Get this look NOW! Tommy Hilfiger Coat for $87!
I suggest adding a faux fur “Russian” style hat and chunky brown belt. If you want to be super fancy get the buttons changed to shiny gold ones.
Winter White
Forget that old rule about no white after Labor Day. “Vogue” Magazine overruled it years away. Nothing looks more crisp and clean than white!
The dress above is Tibi but you can get this Milly Dress at Neiman Marcus from $350 to $122!!!!!
IT’S PURE PERFECTION!!!!!
Metallic
I COULDN’T ME MORE EXCITED ABOUT THIS TREND!!!! AHHHHHHH It screams happiness to me!
This trends is here to stay so you need to stock up! Get this beautiful metallic jacket at Piperlime for $50!
Fierce Suits
You can’t feel more powerful than rocking a fab power suit.
If you can’t afford an Oscar de la Renta suit like the one shown above check out this Kasper Manadarin Suit ON SALE FOR $69!!!!
I say throw on some leopard heels and maybe a gold belt and you are READY to rock!
Texture
Leather, fur, faux fur, microfiber all of it is being worn on the runway.
This Hilary Radley Faux Shearling Coat for $189 at Macys is right on point! Throw on some red leather gloves to mix texture.

Indigo Eyes
Get excited!!!! You will be able to buy this EXACT palette this Spring for Jason Wu for Lancome!
Loosed Braid
Women always rock braids in the summer but it’s totally acceptable in Fall/Winter.
To get this look from Alice + Olivia put your hair in 2 pigtails and braid. Next criss cross the braids and pin. This look can look really romantic and beautiful if done right. *HINT: the messier the better!
70’s Glam Hair
I am dying over this hair at Kate Spade. Break out your old hot rollers and get going. I love how it’s all about volume with no part. I am getting on this train!!!! CHOOO CHOOO
80s Hair
This Marc Jacobs hair is incredible. It’s alll about teasing comb. Curl your hair and pick it out and spray spray spray! This would be extremely easy for women who already have some wave/curl to their hair. Again you can’t mess this look up.
Headpieces
I love this Rodarte’s look because it incorporates “messy hair,” braids and a bit of sparkle. This is easily do able and completely sexy.
Dark Nude Nails
Again AMAZING news. If you want this exact look from Derek Lam’s show it will be available at Estee Lauder next month. Pure Color Nail Lacquer in “So Vain.” (write that down)
So there you go! I hope you will think outside the box and see a trend and figure a way to “Make It Work.” And as always if you ever have a question please send my way. Always here to help. I hope you have a lovely week my friends!
xoxo, Loftiss
