I had a great post planned for “Make It Work Monday”s then the damnest thing happend…..I GOT ENGAGED!!!!! Long story short, my boyfriend of 3.5 years proposed to me in Aruba on Thursday! We were in front of the lighthouse watching the sunset and he dropped to one knee to asked me to be his wife. I didn’t have on a drop of makeup, nothing fabulous, no Louboutins, false lashes or lipsgloss. Just me. And to make the entire situation even more perfect my mother was just a few feet away watching and his father was snapping pixs. I couldn’t be more happier to start this new chapter in the book of life.
So I guess my “Make It Work Monday’ for today is no matter how I preach about perfecting your sunless tan, the best mascara, to dry shampoo what really matters most is your authentic self. If you truly stay true to your authentic self you will honestly find happiness and “make it work”. Happiness in friendships, work, love and all around life. I am levitating I am so happy. And even though I had a suitcase full of goodies waiting to be worn for this trip, what mattered most was the man I love asked me to be by his side forever…..
