I have desperately wanted a dainty chain headpiece to add to my collection of goodies. I have been looking and everything I find is just a little off. Luckily my bestie Keltie, also known as the Queen Crafter, was in town and offered to help me. Ok, I will be completely honest, she did the entire thing. But I at did take the pictures and kept her company while gossiping in the kitchen!
The Tools: Broken necklace, elastic headband, scissors, needle and thread
Kelt measured my head then cut the elastic to ensure it would fit. Then she fished the elastic through the open loop and sewed the ends together. Repeat the same procedure on the opposite side.
This is the finished product. No one would EVER know it was a necklace that I loved and adored that broke! Yippe! I didn’t have to throw it away!
When you wear it make sure you place the back a little lower in the back. Let me know you, I can’t get over how comfortable it is.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this new piece! It’s exactly what I wanted….understated yet chic. Let me know if you make a DIY headpiece too! And don’t forget…TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO ENTER MY CONTEST!!!!!! http://bit.ly/po96vG Love you! xoxo, Loftiss
