Ahhhh how fun was last night? My heart still skips a beat when I see my friends on TV. You’d think by now I’d be over it…but it honestly never gets old! So here are my thoughts on last nights red carpet. I promise not be soft, even if some of them are my buddies! Let’s begin!!!!!
NIKKI M. JAMES
GLAMOUR! Loving the red dress paired with the red lip. And when you have an insane body like this I’m thrilled she took a risk with the mile high slit. Bravo with the look and with your Tony!
VIOLA DAVIS
THANK YOU FOR THIS DRESS COLOR!!!!!! The color is delicious and is serving up her strong athletic shape that I simply adore. I could would have gone with a nude shoe but honey I’ll take it!
ELLEN BARKIN
Hmmmmm she looks lovely but it’s just boring. Reminds me of Mortica. I’m sure she was trying to be classy but I thought it was basic. Expected. I wanted more.
VANESSA REDGRAVE
Now this is classy and completely gorgeous. I love the off-white silk blazer with the black lapel. This is age appropriate and chic.
.
DAVIDE BURTKA & NEIL PATRICK HARRIS
dapper
and ready to own the night! And I must add Neil Patrick Harris is a BRILLIANT host!
CHRISTIE BRINKLEY
Some might say she looked and sounded like a Playboy Bunnie but I say WORK IT SISTER!!!!!! She is 57 years old and puts almost human to shame. You are definitely still a Supermodel!!!!!!
FRANCES McDORMAND
Yes is is correct. After Christie Brinkely gave you pure glamour we are now here with Frances who is wearing a jean jacket. I can’t even comment anymore. I think it’sdisrespectful. And since her jacket made such a stir last night, you can follow it on twitter:
CATHERINE ZETA JONES
This is my ABSOLUTE favorite look of the night. Glamour. Sequins. Low V Neckline. Cutout Back. This Ellie Saab Dress is a knock-out just like Catherine Zeta Jones!
SUTTON FOSTER
The fit of the dress is great but would have loved to have seen it with a sweetheart neckline. Maybe I should write Michael Kors a note and inform him. And the color reminds me of wheat grass. But with a voice like hers she doesn’t have to be a fashionista.
Now I WILL give her that her make-up looks beautiful. Fresh and young.
JUDITH LIGHT
ALEXANDER McQUEEN- YES PLEASE!!!!!! Loving the color, fabric, fit and gold embellishments. This is a home run Judith! I say ‘YOU’RE ARE THE BOSS’ (get it?)
WHOOPI GOLDBERG
NOW THIS IS A JOKE RIGHT? What? This isn’t trying to be funny??? You mean this is seriously your outfit for the 2011 Tony Awards!!!!!
Wow.
This isn’t vintage 1920’s…this is tragic.
BROOKE SHIELDS
Now Brooke you are SOOOO gorgeous but I am not impressed with this look. It seems drab and the fit is unflattering. I would have loved to have seen you in an orange dress to fit your zesty personality.
PATINA MILLER
Ohhhhhh spicy! I like!!!!! Patina totally rocked this Naeem Khan dress.
LILY RABE
I do like this Prabal Gurung dress but her hair and make-up is completely throwing everything off to me. I would like her hair up and if she wants to do a red lipstick it needs to have a blue undertone, not orange. This red only washes her out.
ANDREW RANNELLS
Handsome personified. Clean cut and looking sharp. Well done.
And my best dressed awards goes to Priscilla Queen of the Desert!!!!!!! RIDICULOUS COSTUMES!!!!!
What were your thoughts!!!! Let me know! And don’t forget LOFTISS CLOSET- a new closet is up!!!!!! http://loftisscloset.tumblr.com/
