Yes it’s still Vacation Week here on Loftiss Says!

Since it’s a snow storm in NYC I was thinking back to the lovely weather in Aruba last week. The entire time I was on the beach I was keeping a mental checklist of trends I was spotting. Since I’m sure you are still trying desperately to stick to your New Years Resolutions about hitting the gym, eating better and drinking less… let me inspire you!!!! Here’s a sneak peak into what you’ll be putting on in the next few months~

SWIMSUITS WITH BELTS

I couldn’t believe how many belted swimsuits I saw. I love this look. It takes the focus off of your belly and problem areas and directs the eye to your hot hips!

ONE SHOULDER

I really like this look but there is no way in the world I could wear this…I tan too easily and my tan lines would be CRAZY! I say this is an absolute yes if you like to lounge in the shade (and for auditions and photo shoots).

STRAPLESS (BANDU) TOP

YES! YES! YES! This is so convenient and then you don’t have to wrap your straps around your back (take note ladies, this is not attractive). Now you won’t be able to play volleyball with the boys but the boys won’t be able to keep their eyes off of you!

MIX AND MATCH

One of my friends, Leah, is the queen of the mix/match. If you find two patterns that compliment each other…I say go for it!!!!

SEXY ONE PIECE

I don’t know if it was Beyonce or not but one piece swimsuits are IN! I love that young women don’t feel compelled to wear a bikini and many times this is much more flattering. ROCK ON!

ALL THE TRIMMINGS

Ohhhh my favorite part….now add all the fun stuff: Oversize sunglasses, sheer cover-ups, huge hats, braclets, necklaces, beach tote. I say the more the merrier. Practical: NO. Fabulous: YES. Fashion is everywhere, even on the beach!
