Lord knows I’m all about the over the top, completely ridiculous,  ”where are you going to wear that,” fashion. But the practical part of me appreciates the functional, realistic pieces that make my life more easy. Here are my top choices for handy styles.

1. THE RAIN BOOT

It’s raining, snowing, disgusting outside and now you are completely prepared and looking adorable. From Hunter to Designer Wellies you are ready to weather the storm.

2. THE PERFECT HAT

You don’t have to do your hair because your perfect hat is working as a head warmer (and keeping you fashion forward). I’m a big fan of the faux fur hats with or without ear flaps.

3. CARRYALL TOTE

You have a hundred things with you and then you have to meet your handsome date for some drinks. An oversize bag is necessary and ESPECIALLY if you are a New Yorker. I LOVE this Burberry one (yes you know me well…it’s gold). But it would fit everything you need from your gym shoes to your iphone.

4. COMFY CARDIGAN

Ohhhh I just want to wrap up in this thing! It’s like a built in throw blanket. It is perfect for day or night…just switch up the shoes and the jewelry and you’re ready to go!

5. KNIT TIGHTS

These are the best. Not only do they keep you warmer than normal tights but they stay up better. Nothing is worse than running to the bathroom to pull up your tights like a preschooler. These are a must.

6. ELBOW LENGTH LEATHER GLOVES

Elegant and practical. And leather gloves are so much easier to manuerver than fabrics.

7. THE FUR VEST/JACKET 

OBSESSED. I have a few and looking for more to add to my collection. Dress like your favorite celeb like Kim Kardashian and Rachel Zoe AND stay warm at the same time!
