I LOVE THE SUMMER OLYMPICS!!!!!!
I can remember distinctly where I was in my life every 4 years because of this event. I become mesmerized by the stories, the triumphs, the underdogs, the struggles, the miracles, the determination and the love of the sport. It is the best way to fill up your soul and your spirit!!!
Back in May, I had the extreme pleasure of interviewing Olympic hopefuls for “100 Days Til London.” It was a massive event taking over Times Square with over 60 news stations covering the event. There were over 80 Olympic hopefuls throughout the day with demonstrations of many of the sports. There was everything from boxing, judo, rhythmic gymnastics to karate. My area involved BMX racing and Beach Volley Ball. Let’s just say my area was the action area!
After interviewing these atheletes all day and hearing of their preparation for these games, their intense training and their dedication to their craft I was floored by their passion. It was an honor to share the same stage as these athletes. Many of those athletes qualified and will be representing our amazing country. I can not wait to cheer them on. More than ever I feel connected to these games and to these incredible people and new friends. Best of luck to all of the athletes these next weeks. And of course GO TEAM USA!!!!!
